APARTMENT REPAINT – SUNSHINE COAST
Complete external repaint of Bluewater Point Resort – Sunshine Coast
In July 2016 Alltech Industrial Abseilers were chosen from many by the Bluewater Point body corporate to carry out an external repaint. The project scope included some 6000 sqm of external walls to be painted with a 3 coat system, over 150 doors to be glossed and protective coatings applied to structural steel work.
With estimates of around 3000 hours for completion of the work, painting commenced at the beginning of October with 8 team members and a schedule that was to be strictly adhered to if the goal of finishing the project before Christmas was to be attained.
To allow management to confidently take bookings from the letting pool, Alltech provided a detailed plan of exactly when each apartment would be painted. Thanks in part to great weather, the painting schedule was maintained practically to the day throughout the entire 11 week project.
For this project the committee had settled on using well trusted Solver paint products for the job – Granoskin for the walls and Solvergard for the soffits to protect the building for years to come from the harsh coastal environment.
After nearly 3500 hours in labour and 2000 litres of paint, the crew wrapped up just in time for the Christmas break. The sensational new paint job even helped get the building over the line to be awarded “best dressed apartments” by the annual Christmas canal cruise.
