Another Rope Access Painting Project Complete!

Azure Bluecare Painting Project is Complete!

Alltech kicked off a major rope access painting project for Azure Bluecare back in June this year, and after 2,500 hours of labour over 3 months, we can proudly say the job is complete!

The project involved surface preparation and painting of both the internal and external areas of the 3 medium rise buildings, comprising over 20,000 square metres of surface area in total to be painted.

Before work could commence, the buildings had to be fitted out with certified rope access anchor points, which were all designed and installed in-house by Alltech’s dedicated height safety installation team.  Once the anchor point system was in place and tested, the abseil painting team kicked into gear – first pressure cleaning the external surfaces in preparation for the new Dulux paint to be applied.

The abseil painting team took care of all the external high access areas, whilst the guys who prefer to keep their feet on the ground took care of the internal hallways, doors, frames and common areas.  Additionally the team removed and replaced all apartment numbers on residents front doors as part of the program.

At Alltech, we consider communication as a vital part of any successful painting operation.  Our project manager Liam ensured that the management team at Azure were always up to date with where the team were at and could therefor plan with residents about what to expect.

High rise painting projects aren’t always easy.  With dozens, or even hundreds of individual residents or guests, it’s takes careful consideration and forward thinking to ensure things go smoothly.  That’s why we would like to thank the whole team and residents at Bluecare for their cooperation and understanding throughout the project!

How To Plan High Rise Maintenance

How much does high rise window cleaning and pressure cleaning really cost?

If you manage a Brisbane or Gold Coast high rise and can remember the last bill you got for high pressure cleaning or window washing, you could be forgiven for thinking it’s quite a costly endeavour…

But there’s one thing that’s more expensive than washing and maintaining your high rise building – not maintaining your building!

If left to their own devices; salt, dirt, mould and other nasties will rapidly go to work eating away at the paint and fixtures, reducing their lifespan.

The great news is that implementing a comprehensive washing and maintenance program for your high rise building actually costs a lot less than you think!

We’ve done the math, and for the average building – yes, even high rises exposed directly to the coastal environment – the cost of a full asset protection plan is usually less… sometimes much less than a dollar a day per dwelling!

Better still, we’ve created a “3 minute maintenance plan” tool, that allows you to generate your own plan and budget in seconds!

If you don’t have time to spend hours figuring out how often you should wash your high rise building or how much you should budget for your abseil window cleaning, this tool will make it super easy for you.

It’s like having an estimator, a financial forecaster and a maintenance planner in your pocket…

You can download the maintenance planner here, answer a few basic questions about your building and have a plan of action you can put into place right away.

High Rise Painters Complete Project in Fortitude Valley

Alltech High Rise Painters Complete Wickham Street Project

This week the rope access painting team are set to wrap up another successful high rise painting project in Brisbane City.

After losing nearly 2 weeks of productivity due to non-stop rain as the painting project was set to get started in early February, the team pushed on with an ambitious target of painting the 6,000 square metre high rise office building on Wickham Street, Fortitude Valley in just 7 weeks.

With an average team size of 7 rope access painters at any given time, the crew worked Monday through to Saturday to complete the high rise repaint on time. The scope included carrying out remedial work on the building, including removing old anchor points from the facades and applying a new Dulux paint system, guaranteed to last for 10 years.

Alltech won an extensive bidding process to be contracted by Xenia Constructions to carry out the commercial painting project using its dedicated in-house team of high rise painting specialists.

With practical completion deadline set for the 4th of April, the team are set to bring home the painting project almost 1 week early, despite set backs at the beginning.

This is a testament to the outstanding commitment of the abseil painting team and the onsite rope access painting supervisor.
